SUMMER BEGINS AT KIDIMU!
Dino Dig Opening &
Summer Kickoff

It is time to get outside!
Bring the whole family to celebrate the season and the opening of our outdoor exhibits, with fun classes and crafts. All day Members enjoy a special 25% Appreciation Discount on all retail at the Museum Gift Store!

Members Only Preview
Let the digging begin!  
Members will be the first to say “hello” to the dinosaurs which come back “to life” in the museum’s outdoor exhibit.

10am – 11am
Dino Quest with Guy Sidora
Dig into the world of dinosaurs and discover new features of the outdoor display! Through games and Dino Dig exploration, learn how to pronounce “paleontologist” and how to become one!
All welcome.

11am – 12:30pm
Messy Friday: Fossil Workshop
Get ready for fun art discoveries in the outdoor exhibit! Teacher Helen invites young artists to create their own dinosaur fossils.
Experimentation, sensory exploration and messy art expression are not only allowed but also encouraged!
Recommended ages: 3 – 8

Aprons will be provided by KiDiMu, but change of clothes is recommended – just in case if things get out of small hands…

Archaeology for Beginners
Meet “the real-life Indiana Jones”…
Join archaeologists - Rachel and David Grant - for a hands-on look at our past. Compare myths and facts about archaeology and learn what it’s really like to “travel back in time”! Explore a professional dig kit and examine original artifacts from the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture in Seattle!

$ Babysitter’s Training Course
Presented at KiDiMu
by the American Red Cross
Ages: 11-15
KiDiMu and the American Red Cross invite aspiring babysitters to prepare for the job and get certified.
The course teaches students how to handle emergencies, prevent accidents, and understand children’s needs at different ages.
Participants will gain the skills every parent desires in a babysitter including basic child and infant care, safe play, First Aid and critical emergency action skills.
Cost: $30
Participants should bring lunch.
