Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination (DI) is a team-based program that challenges kids to think creatively, solve open-ended problems, and collaborate with friends — all without adult interference in their solution. KiDiMu is excited to host a 3rd & 4th grade DI team for the 2026–27 season. Grab your friends and sign up together — teams are more fun (and more creative!) when you already know your teammates.

DI Overview

What is Destination Imagination?

DI is a hands-on program where kids work together in small teams to solve creative, open-ended challenges in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and more. Along the way, they build problem-solving skills, teamwork, resilience, and confidence — while having a ton of fun. Teams are 100% kid-driven: the ideas, the building, and the solution all come from the students themselves.

Teams choose from six challenge types: Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, and Service Learning.

Getting Started

How to Join a Team

Grab Your Friends Teams are more fun with people you already know! Ask your classmates and buddies who might want to join — teams of 3–7 kids work best.

Find a Team Manager Every team needs one parent volunteer to act as Team Manager. Interested in leading a team yourself? We'd love to have you.

Register with KiDiMu Once your team and Team Manager are set, register through KiDiMu to confirm your spot. Registration is confirmed once payment is received.
