We are now accepting applications for the following positions:

VISITOR SERVICES ASSOCIATE (Lead)

Kids Discovery Museum is looking for qualified candidates to support admission’s desk with customer service and junior staff and volunteer supervision, as well as facility upkeep on select weekday mornings, and occasional weekends when backup is needed. Perfect for somebody who’s looking to add a few hours while their child is at school.

This is a regular part-time, long-term position; up to 8-12 hours per week, split between 2-3 weekdays plus occasional weekend shift as needed to fill in for other staff. (approximately 40-45 hours a month). The shift could be somewhat flexible (between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. – TBD).

Qualifications:
The position requires excellent communication and customer service skills as commitment to the Museum’s educational mission. A successful candidate must love working with families and be outgoing, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

At least one year of professional customer service background desired. High school diploma or GED required, A.A. or higher preferred. Must be 21+ to apply.

VISITOR SERVICES ASSISTANT

Kids Discovery Museum is looking for qualified candidates to support admission’s desk with customer service, help with facility upkeep and birthday parties or events on select weekends. This is an entry-level position – perfect for a high school or college student or somebody seeking part-time customer service experience.

This is a part-time, long-term position; 2-3 weekend shifts per month (some holiday and/or school break shifts required – TBD and mutually agreed upon). Saturday shifts are: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday shifts are 12 – 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications:
The position requires excellent communication and customer service skills and commitment to the Museum’s educational mission. A successful candidate must love working with families and be outgoing, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Previous customer service or babysitting experience desired but not required. Must be 15+ to apply. This is an entry-level position.
