Welcome to KiDiMu Preschool, where curiosity explodes like a science experiment and every child is a star in our galaxy of learners! Our classrooms are alive with color, movement, and discovery—where little mathematicians measure, engineers build, artists mix, and scientists test their ideas in a world that celebrates every unique learner.
Here, play is the ultimate formula for learning. Children of all abilities can explore hands-on exhibits, create with open-ended materials, and follow their own “equations” of curiosity, imagination, and wonder. Nature walks and outdoor play let them connect with the world around them, proving that the simplest observations can lead to the biggest discoveries.
Our approach is child-centered and guided. It open-ended and flexible, allowing each young explorer set their own pace while cultivating empathy, compassion, confidence, and joy. Need a little extra support? No worries—we can provide guidance, staff assistance, or small-group help to make sure every learner thrives. Mistakes? They’re just fun “data points” in the grand adventure of learning!

The Preschool at KiDiMu is expanding, and we have openings for the remainder of this school year (Jan-June 2026) academic year! We have AM and PM preschool options. Don’t miss the chance to join our vibrant, playful, and inclusive learning community. Starting January 8th we will be accepting deposits to hold your spot for the 2026-2027 school year.
Curious Minds Welcome!
Children can join our program beginning at 2.5 years and should be potty-trained! Our multi-age classroom is full of exploration, play, and hands-on learning. We provide kindergarten-readiness curriculum in our program and most children transition from KiDiMu into kindergarten.
Our Preschool Space
Preschool at KiDiMu happens throughout the entire Museum (8:15am-12:00pm or 12:30-4:15pm). On Members Only Monday Mornings (10–11 AM), preschool takes over the entire second floor, while the first floor remains open for members. During MiniMu sessions, which occur a few times a month, preschool moves to the second floor, allowing MiniMu to take over the first floor. This way, everyone has space to explore, play, and learn safely.
Small Class, Big Adventures!
Our preschool class is limited to 18 students with 2 teachers, giving a 9:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Right now, we are enrolling children and building a community of curious learners and families. Both the AM and PM classes are guided by a certified ECE teacher and an assistant teacher—plenty of space for each child to explore, create, and discover in our 5,000 sq. ft. play space!
2025–2026 School Year: The KiDiMu Lab of Learning
Welcome to another year of experiments, equations, and endless curiosity!
The AM Preschool at KiDiMu runs from September to June, Monday through Friday. Drop-off begins at 8:15 AM, when little scientists start gearing up for discovery, and the school day “reacts” at 8:30 AM. Dismissal happens at 12:00 PM, giving everyone just enough time to sum up the day’s adventures. The Museum opens to the public at 11:00 AM.
The PM Preschool at KiDiMu runs from September to June, Monday through Friday. Drop-off begins at 12:30 PM, when little scientists start gearing up for discovery, and the school day “reacts” at 12:45 PM. Dismissal happens at 4:15 PM, giving everyone just enough time to sum up the day’s adventures.
Our school calendar comes with the Preschool Handbook—think of it as your personal “map of the galaxy” for the school year. We follow the BISD calendar for holidays and school breaks (though not all in-service days), so you can calculate the perfect schedule for your young explorer.
From measuring, building, and coding to mixing colors, music, and movement, every day is a hands-on experiment where curiosity multiplies, creativity divides, and fun adds up to a year full of discoveries!

We have laughed and giggled and plotted about what to bring for show and tell; we have heard of the many discoveries in science Fridays; we’ve heard tales of the nature walks and stories shared. 2025–2026 Tuition
- Three Days a Week : $675/month
- Four Days a Week : $865/month
- Five Days a Week (Mon–Fri): $1025/month
- Materials Fee: $300 per year (applies to all students)
Tuition Deposit
A non-refundable deposit equal to one month of your chosen plan is required to secure your child’s spot. This deposit will be applied toward your child’s final month of the school year.
