JUNE 24 – 27
ENCHANTED ADVENTURES
Be the hero of your own fairy tale!

Campers will use their imagination to enter the world of fantasy. They will construct catapults to investigate centuries-old scientific principles. They will create medieval accessories, magic wands and ride-on unicorns for make-believe play.

Inspired by stories, curious explorers will learn about the daily lives of knights and princesses and maybe even meet a legendary dragon or two… Together with their friends, children will create a collaborative fairy tale and use creative drama to bring it to life!

Curriculum Focus: Literacy, Social Sciences, STEM, Arts, Fun!
Instructor: Ellie Mansfield, early childhood educator with over 19 year of experience, parent education consultant at The Dahlia Center, and visitor services associate at KiDiMu

HOMETOWN SUPERHEROES

Grab your cape and meet real-life superheroes!

Campers will join the KiDiMu Super Squad for amazing adventures. Inspired by popular culture and superheroes from our community, they will use imaginations to discover their own superpowers and create attire to match them.

Through imaginative play, stories, crafts, and visits from special guests – including a police officer and firefighter* – they will learn what it takes to become an everyday superhero.

Curriculum Focus: Health and Wellness, Social Sciences, Literacy, Arts, Fun!
Instructor: Elizabeth Meyers, Blakely Elementary 4th grade teacher, former camp counselor and Montessori method educator

JULY 15 – 18
MISSION TO THE MOON

To infinity and beyond!

Aspiring astronauts will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing by embarking on adventures out of this world.

From blasting off in a rocket ship to walking on the Moon, they will learn about life in space by having fun with songs, movement games, pretend play and hands-on art and science activities from the NISE* curriculum. Curious explorers will experiment with stomp rockets, make space helmets and go through make-believe astronaut boot camp to complete their experience.

JULY 22 – 25
WATER, ROCKS AND STICKS
(TWO SESSIONS – The morning session is SOLD OUT! Join the afternoon session or the Waiting List for the morning one.)
Tinker time!

Campers will get back to basics in this adventure all about learning and playing with every child’s favorite materials.

From making their own rain sticks and story rocks to investigating clouds and dams, curious explorers will practice scientific observation and teamwork, and make a splash or two along the way. They will get inspired by nature to experiment, create art, engineer and play!

JULY 29 – AUGUST 1
EXPRESS YOURSELF

Get your hands on art fun!

Budding artists will explore different mediums in this creative week: painting on canvas, clay, and making a collaborative mural. They will enjoy messy experimentation and sensory exploration while creating their masterpieces.

For the finale of this creative adventure, campers will tour Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, and have a portfolio of their own to bring home.
