KiDiMu’s Birthday Bash & “Kids for KiDiMu” Fun Walk

June 3 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Celebrating the Power of Play with Our Neighbors!

Kick off the day at 10 a.m. with the “Kids for KiDiMu” family fun walk for Play Ambassadors of all ages, with free T-shirts (with advance registration) and free registration for all. The walk will begin with a warm-up in front of KiDiMu lead by Island Fitness’ instructor Tamera Roz and her assistant and daughter Teia. Bainbridge Bands musicians will lead the walkers through Winslow and then back to KiDiMu in a festive parade.

11 a.m. – Bainbridge Performing Arts – Theatre School performance

11:30 a.m. – American Red Cross and Ready Raccoon – safety presentation

Noon – Island Aikido – martial arts demonstration

12:30 p.m. – West Sound Wildlife Shelter – animal ambassadors program

1 p.m. – Spartronics Team 4915 – robotics demonstration

Family Fun on the Plaza
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Check out special activities, featuring:

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art – craft
Bainbridge Prepares and Ready Raccoon – safety tips
Boys and Girls Club of Bainbridge Island – face painting
Fire Truck (1 – 2 p.m.) and Police Car (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.) – unless called to action
KiDiMu: Summer Camp Sneak Preview and Bubbles (in KiDiMu’s outdoor space by the Museum)
Malone Pediatrics – teddy bear clinic
West Sound Wildlife Shelter – animal ambassadors

Take 10 to Relax and Support KiDiMu, too!
Dr. Brian Kovara from Living Well Chiropractic & Massage will offer 10-minute chair massages for $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the museum! Available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

To keep the little ones energized, That’s a Some Pizza will host a stand in front of KiDiMu and offer pizza and drinks for sale between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

As always, we encourage families to “go green” and walk, bike, take a bus or carpool, if possible. Have to drive? No worries! Parking spaces will be available on the two lots behind KiDiMu.
